Another possible missile-airline incident in the U.S.

Post  antilib on Sat Jun 13, 2009 11:45 am

It was almost a year to the day that a pilot of a Continental Flight
1544 reported seeing appeared to be some type of rocket or missile flying past his cockpit shortly after takeoff from Bush Intercontinental Airport
in Texas.

Last Friday, a Continental Express pilot reported seeing a “missile or rocket” flying within 150 feet of his aircraft as he was flying at 13,000 feet over Liberty County, Texas, on a flight originating in Houston and destined for South Carolina. The pilot reported the incident to the Federal Aviation Administration and the FBI, who met last week with the Liberty County Sheriff’s Department.

According to public news reports, the plane had 29 people on board and continued the flight without further incident.
